Last Services
A downloadable game
It’s the middle of nowhere, with no end in sight. A lone gas station sits on an unpaved road near a hundred-mile highway, bathed in darkness. Weather-beaten signs on either side of the highway read “Last Services for 50 Miles” in faded text.
Good luck seeing it at night.
This is your life, now. Once upon a time, you were one of the most ruthless monster hunters in the world. Then one monster, the only one who ever got away, destroyed your reputation and changed the arc of your life forever.
Now, years later, you’re a faceless stranger working the graveyard shift at the Top Stop Gas Station on Halloween night.
And the monster has decided to come out and play.

LAST SERVICES is a one-shot horror TTRPG for 4+ players, and is designed to be completed in an hour or more. Inspiration comes partly from the short “Gas Station” in John Carpenter and Tobe Hooper’s Body Bags. Other inspiration comes from:
- New Mexico SR-104 from Tucumcari to Las Vegas
- California SR-166 from Kern to Santa Maria
- California Interstate 5 through the Grapevine/Tejon Pass
And countless other road trips through the middle of nowhere at night.
The setting, mood, and genre are all hackable to your heart’s content. Talk to your table after you’ve run them through the basics of this game, and find out what feels best for everyone.
The mood and tone of this game are inspired by schlock horror, but horror themes can rapidly lead to darker gameplay. Please discuss boundaries with your table in advance, and use Safety Tools such as Lines and Veils, XNO-Cards, etc. Resources for these safety tools can be found at https://bit.ly/ttrpgsafetytoolkit.
With your purchase, you will receive access to two PDFs: one in full color, and one optimized for printing in black & white.
